Privacy notice

Java KaaS is the trade name of Ievgen Liutyi, a Dutch sole proprietor (KVK 42152941). I am responsible for the personal data described here. Contact: hello@javakaas.nl, Hogevecht 81, 1102 HD Amsterdam, Netherlands.

What I use and why

• Website visits: Cloudflare processes IP addresses, requested pages, request times, and browser information to deliver and protect this site, based on my legitimate interest in a secure, reliable website. I use no analytics, advertising trackers, forms, or embedded widgets.
• Business contacts: I use contact details, messages, agreements, billing, and payment information to answer inquiries and manage work and business relationships, based on legitimate interests. If you seek or enter a contract personally, necessary processing is based on steps you request before a contract or contract performance. Tax recordkeeping is a legal obligation.
• Professional research: I may use names, business contact details, roles, employers, and relevant business information from public websites, professional profiles, publications, and referrals to assess whether my services are relevant and manage relationships, based on legitimate interests.

You choose what to provide, but I need enough information to respond or arrange work. Engagement and invoicing details may be required by contract or law. Please keep initial messages free of sensitive personal data and confidential technical information.

Data processed on a client's instructions is covered by the client's privacy information. I assist that client with relevant requests.

Who receives data

I use Cloudflare (hosting and security), Microsoft 365 (email and files), Notion (business and contact records), TransIP (domain), Vodafone (phone), and WhatsApp Business if you choose it. They and their service providers receive data as needed. Banks, insurers, advisers, and authorities may also receive necessary information. I do not sell personal data.

Email, phone, WhatsApp, and LinkedIn links open external services with their own privacy information.

Some providers process data outside the European Economic Area, including the United States. Transfers requiring safeguards use adequacy decisions or European Commission standard contractual clauses, with additional safeguards where needed. Ask me for details or copies.

How long I keep data

• Closed inquiries that do not become leads: normally deleted or anonymized within six months of closure.
• Prospects: normally deleted after 12 months without meaningful interaction, counting from collection if there was none. Lost opportunities: normally deleted 12 months after closure. Unanswered marketing messages do not reset these periods.
• Basic accounting records: seven years from the statutory starting point, or longer where legally required. Minimal privacy-request records: 24 months after closure.
• Other relationship and incident records: only while needed for the relationship, investigation, or legal duties. Minimal marketing-objection records: while needed to honor the objection.

Website logs I control are limited to 30 days unless an incident or legal duty requires longer. Providers and backups have separate periods for service operation, security, and legal obligations; see Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Your rights

Subject to legal conditions, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability, and object to legitimate-interest processing. Direct marketing stops if you object. If I rely on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Email hello@javakaas.nl. I normally respond within one month and explain any lawful extension. You can complain to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens or your local data protection authority.

I do not make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
